On one side, the Yotaphone 2 is an ordinary Android-based smartphone, with some very interesting specs, though : a Qualcomm SnapDragon 800 (2,26 Ghz quad core) processor, a 5″ amoled screen, 32GB internal memory and 2GB ram, 8 Mp rear camera, 2,1 MP front camera, and of course LTE, wifi, bluetooth, NFC, well all of what makes a 2016 smartphone contemporary :
But what makes it so special is that on its rear panel you find….an E-ink screen. You can use it as a notification panel, you can play chess on it, play Sudoku on it, and you can use it as a real eReader ! Of course, it’s not as convenient as a “real” eReader, but that’s something, and it’s quite fascinating for the eyes :
Yotaphone 3 is expected to be launched in a few months, so right now you can buy a brand new Yotaphone 2 for about 120 bucks, isn’t it amazing ? You can check the specs on the web, and note that the beta-testing program for Android Marshmallow has begun just before Christmas, so it may be here quickly.
Last detail, the charger has a led-light that switches on when the phone is charging :
Next post will be totally different from what I talked about in the last posts…
there are clues scattered in this one. 🙂
